OFFICE POLICIES

Location and Hours:

PCA is located at 8400 W 110th Street, Suite 250, Overland Park, KS 66210. There is an Emporia State University sign in front of our building. The office is open 9:00AM to 5:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00AM to 6:00PM on Wednesdays, and 8:00AM  to 3:00 PM on Fridays. Always bring your insurance card with you. We will copy it at your initial appointment and verify the information at each follow-up appointment. A copy of the card will be made in order to bill your insurance. Your co-payment or coinsurance is due at the time of check-in for each visit. Please be prepared with cash, check, or credit card (American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa).

Follow up Appointments:

We will be available during regular business hours to schedule your appointments. When scheduling an appointment for a minor, please be sure to inform us whether a legal guardian will be accompanying the child to the visit.

In an effort to increase the efficiency of our providers, help control medical costs, and assure prompt scheduling of patients, PCA has implemented a Patient Appointment Policy. Patients must give PCA as much advance notice as possible if you cannot keep your appointment. If you cancel your appointment with less than 24-hour notice you will be charged a late cancellation fee. We realize that situations outside of your control do occur and each situation will be reviewed. As always, we appreciate your promptness for your appointment time.

Telephone and Emergencies:

We are aware of the difficulties involved in communication with a medical office. We are asking your help to allow us to better serve you. Our receptionists will make every attempt to get answers to your questions in a timely fashion. They are available during our regular business hours to assist you. The following information and guidelines should be helpful:

  • Urgent calls are prioritized according to need.
  • Please hold non-urgent questions to your next appointment if scheduled within a reasonable period of time; otherwise, reschedule for an earlier appointment if possible.
  • Medication Refills: Medication refills should be done during your regularly scheduled appointments. If there are extenuating circumstances, please call our office to request a refill. We NO LONGER accept pharmacy refill requests. Please note that it can take up to three business days to fill. Controlled drugs (stimulants, sleeping pills, or benzodiazepines like Xanax and Klonopin) cannot be refilled without an appointment.
